FOR WHOM
Why this training is important
When a soldier goes to the frontline, the whole family is on the front line. Captivity, missing or loss is not only a personal tragedy, it is a deep and lasting trauma for the wife, children, parents and loved ones. They live in constant tension, often without an answer, without support, without the right to be weak.
This training is designed to give professionals and volunteers the tools to help in a real way: how to support a family when there are no words; how to talk to children; how to be there in silence; how not to break down next to someone who is waiting.
And most importantly, we will give practical advice on how the family can continue to live with this reality. How not to burn out in anticipation, how to keep in touch, how to keep memory and faith - even in the darkest moments.
TRAINING PROGRAM
This training is for you if you are:
✔ Wife, mother, father, child or friend of a military or veteran and want to know how to be supportive without losing yourself.
✔ Volunteer, psychologist, psychotherapist, teacher, doctor, chaplain or civil servant working with military families.
✔ A representative of the police, social services, local authorities or a head of an institution that has contact with the families of defenders.
✔ A person who wants to better understand and support those who have been through war, captivity, loss or long waiting.
During the training we will consider:
🔹 The psycho-emotional state of a family in conditions of captivity, missing or lost military personnel.
What is "frozen grief" and how it manifests itself in the family's everyday life.
🔹 How a professional or a loved one can be there to support without causing additional pain.
🔹 How to talk to the family when there is no news - or, conversely, when it is too difficult.
🔹 How to prepare the family for returning from captivity and what you need to know about the military's adaptation.
🔹 How to talk to children, elderly parents and other family members about a missing or captured person.
Practical techniques of emotional stabilisation, resource recovery and self-help for families and professionals.
🔹 What to do if the family receives the news of the death: support at the time of loss and afterwards.
