The course is aimed at supporting children affected by the war and whose parents and relatives are at the front, and is designed to provide professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to work effectively in this area

What this course is about

This course is about algorithms of actions for professionals.

In particular, it contains recommendations for communicating with children of different ages whose parents are on the frontline of identifying indicators of post-traumatic stress, conducting surveys and analysing possible mistakes that can lead to mental health disorders

DURATION OF THE COURSE

Course duration

The total duration of the course is 33 academic hours divided into 8 modules. The intensity of the meetings is once a week, on Tuesdays, lasting more than

 

1 module: 4 academic hours 2 hours of theory (17:00 to 19:00) + 2 hours of practice


The platform for conducting classes is ZOOM.


Access to all training materials through a closed group in the TELEGRAM messenger.


The cost of the course under martial law is UAH 4,900,

For members of the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers, as well as participants of the Natalia Sablina Training Centre - UAH 3,600,

For family members of combatants with a valid certificate - 2,100 UAH

Course lecturer

NATALIA SABLINA

D. in Psychology, Associate Professor of Psychology and Pedagogy.
Head of the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers, Director of the Natalia Sablina Training Centre.

An expert with practical experience in working with the military and their families. She has been providing psychological support and assistance to the military since 2014.             
From 2022-2024, she trained more than 3000 consultants in military psychology.

She completed internships in the USA in 2024, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022, Northern Ireland and Poland in 2023.

The course lecturer is included in the official register of psychologists of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine

CURRICULUM

Curriculum
MODULES

Module 1.

Psychological trauma in children and adolescents with a loved one at the frontline The concept of psychological characteristics of children, adolescents and different age groups.

 

Module 2.

Trauma and its consequences for the mental health of military personnel. Social and psychological assistance to survivors of captivity and torture. Peculiarities of working with those released from captivity

 

Module 3.

Peculiarities of communication with war veterans. Psychological assistance to veterans with substance abuse problems. Psychological practices when working with amputee veterans

 

Module 4.

Primary and secondary trauma in veterans' wives. Consequences and support for military families. Factors contributing to violence. Violence in the family. What you need to know.

 

Module 5

Psychological features of childhood grief. Age-specific features of grief. The place and role of grief, sorrow and suffering. Psychological support for children and adolescents who have lost loved ones.

 

Module 6

Art therapy in work with children and adolescents. Sand therapy. How to use MACcards in a crisis. Art therapy techniques and body-oriented methods in working with trauma and grief. A resource for working with shock trauma.

 

Module 7

Problems of psychosocial adaptation of those returning from war. Types and signs of traumatic war experience - stressors. Factors of occurrence and development of PTSD. Technology of bereavement counselling.   Peculiarities of experiencing the death of a soldier in the family.

 

Module 8

Professionalism of a practical psychologist. Recovery of a psychologist after working with the military and their families who are going through difficult stages of life during the war. Final workshop. Certification.

CERTIFICATE

Certificate

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of advanced training from the Natalia Sablina Training Centre. The course price includes a certificate in Ukrainian. If you wish, you can order a certificate in English by paying for it additionally.Our documents (certificates, certificates, etc.) can be credited to the advanced training, as they fully comply with the requirements of paragraph 13 of the Procedure for advanced training of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 800 of 21.08.2019, and entered into force on 03 September 2019.

CERTIFICATION CONDITIONS: participation in all modules and workshops, completion of homework in full, development and defence of a certification paper.
