Who this course is for
The course is designed to train volunteers, psychologists, chaplains, social workers, students, healthcare professionals, military personnel, civil servants and relatives of veterans to work with combatants, veterans and their families.
The course is deeply practical and based on many years of experience working with the military in crisis situations. The authors of the course have prepared theoretical foundations and practical advice for dealing with various acute reactions in military personnel.
A military psychology consultant should have a good understanding of the aspects of modern psychology, a high level of stress resistance and responsibility.

- Learn how to cope with crisis situations and stabilise the psyche of a soldier

TERM
Course duration
- Classes are held once a week on Mondays from 17.00, the duration of each class is 3 academic hours (30 hours). The total duration of the course is 10 weeks. The platform for online classes is ZOOM
- Access to all materials, closed group. Recording of all classes is REQUIRED in the classroom
- Understanding the current situation in the country, we have reduced the cost of training to
3 950 UAH (the cost of the course in peacetime is 5 800 UAH).

NATALIA SABLINA
D. in Psychology, Associate Professor of Psychology and Pedagogy.
Head of the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers, Director of the Natalia Sablina Training Centre.
An expert with practical experience in working with the military and their families. She has been providing psychological support and assistance to the military since 2014.
From 2022-2024, she trained more than 3000 consultants in military psychology.
She completed internships in the USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022, Northern Ireland and Poland in 2023.
The course instructor is included in the official register of psychologists of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine

Certificate
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of advanced training from the Natalia Sablina Training Centre. The course price includes a certificate in Ukrainian. If you wish, you can order a certificate in English by paying for it additionally.Our documents (certificates, certificates, etc.) can be credited to the advanced training, as they fully comply with the requirements of paragraph 13 of the Procedure for advanced training of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 800 of 21.08.2019, and entered into force on 03 September 2019.
CERTIFICATION CONDITIONS: participation in all modules and workshops, completion of homework in full, development and defence of a certification paper.

2. Primary diagnosis of psychotrauma in the military. Mechanisms of psychotrauma formation. Ways to overcome the consequences of psychotrauma. Three-phase model of work with psychotrauma. Psychological assistance in the system of prevention of psychotraumatisation of military personnel.
3. Trauma and its consequences for the mental health of servicemen. Social and psychological assistance to survivors of captivity and torture.
4. Fundamentals of psychological assistance in mental disorders in the military. Reaction to severe stress and adaptation disorders. PTSD. Resources of stress resistance.
5. Rehabilitation of military personnel participating in combat operations. Indications and contraindications for psychological rehabilitation of military personnel.
6. Features of psychological assistance to war veterans. Psychological assistance to veterans with substance abuse problems.
7. Acclimatisation of combatants to civilian and family life. Psychological assistance to wives and families of war veterans.
8. Death and losses in war and civilian life. Coping with loss and grief by a veteran. Informing relatives about the death of a serviceman: mistakes, nuances and psychological assistance.
9. Manifestation of military states in civilian life. Problems of veterans. "Accepting each other's changes". Communication with military family members. Restoring connections and returning to life during and after the war.
10. Professional burnout of psychologists, social workers, volunteers, chaplains and medical professionals. Resourcefulness in the days of war. Caring for the military, veterans and their families, psychological education on the impact of war experience. Rehabilitation of military personnel who have returned from war. Assistance to the military is everything that allows boys and girls to save their lives, physical and mental health, and families.
